Feedback from Workshop on CAP and Convalescent Home ministries
Posted on 03-08-08
“I truly enjoyed the 2 hour presentation. You appeared to have been well prepared and the two of you worked together well. Your handouts were very effective and useful and the tree was an excellent visual aid. You speak comfortably in front of people. Your use of audience participation was stimulating. There was never an opportunity to get bored or drift. Starting the class with statistics spiked our interest immediately. Your availability after class was important for follow-up conversation. I appreciate your personal characteristic, timeliness, and so do others. You started and ended on time. You announced the length of the break and held true to it. Really, Rodney and Marian, the class was excellent and I believe we have the beginning of our own CAP ministry. Thank you.”—Pastor Jeannette Barham of Living Hope Christian Center, Sacramento, CA.
” Great presentation!! Very informative. Good info on the do’s and don’t's of visiting residents in a convalescent home.” Ray Tadena of Living Hope Christian Center, Sacramento, CA
Workshop at Living Hope Christian Center

We did a training workshop on setting up a senior ministry and convalescent ministry for Living Hope Christian Center on March 1st, 2008. It went well and has good feedback. We pray that the Lord be glorified and that seniors at this church will be blessed by this new ministry that has been birthed.
Dopheide MInistries.Inc. vision

Greetings from Rodney and Marian,
Dopheide Ministries, Inc. also known as DMI, would like to share with you our vision that the Lord has given to us. First we would like to let you know what the Lord had done in 2007.
DMI continued with our events and outings, the fellowship and this was great.
DMI over the years has grown and continues to grow as the Lord leads and opens new doors. We would like to share some of the things the Lord has done.
We were able to provide transportation free of charge to those that had a need to go to the Doctor or hospital or dentist. We were able to provide complete meals at Thanksgiving for families. At Christmas DMI provided gifts to people in convalescent, and did home visitation. We were able to provide benevolent gifts for our brothers and sisters that went to be with the Lord in 2007. This area increased many fold. We were able to provide the funeral service for our own granddaughter. On a more cheerful note we also did a wedding service. All these were done with your help through your prayers and your financial help, also for those who stepped up to deliver the meals and do services as Marian and I were able to minister at the same time in other churches. Without you we would not have been able to provide these services. Thanks so much!
I would like to now share our vision. For the past 16 years the Lord has been taking us step by step. He has given me a glimpse of the need in churches. We are now focusing primarily on churches that do not have a ministry to the senior adults. This segment of people is one of the fastest growing in our churches, as many of the baby boomers are retiring this age group has many needs which in many cases the churches are not prepared to meet. They do not have a plan to meet the needs of this populace.
This is our mission to help churches set up a ministry using their own people, and who better but the senior adults themselves. What a resource the church has and unfortunately an untapped one. Our vision, our mission, our strategy is not an easy one but one we believe is from the Lord. James 1:27 says to visit the orphans and widows, Acts 6:1 says the widows were neglected. Our vision is to help churches free of charge to set up ministries to the senior adults within their own body.
We are asking you to come along beside us, to help, if your church does not have a ministry to the seniors talk with your Pastor. If you can come along and help, Pray for us as we go. Maybe you can help financially by donating monthly so we can provide these services free to the church, and continue to provide the services above. Please find a pledge card enclosed.
In Christ Jesus

Put on the whole armour of God
Posted on 01-17-08
We encourage you all to put on the whole armour of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Eph 6: 10-18
