Calvary Temple Reunion

On July 18, 2009 we had a wonderful Calvary Temple Reunion . Over 120 people attended . The event was held at the El Sendero church in Sacramento, the former site of Calvary Temple Assembly of God. Delicious lasagna meal was served, together with a great program, featuring a video of collage of people who attended Calvery Temple in the past 50+ years. Pastor Gene and Phyllis Riggs were the honored guests, they pastored this church for 30 years. The program includes singing, messages by Pastor Scott Barham, ventriloquism by Pastor Rodney Dopheide and was MC by Pastor Gary Bell. Living Hope Christian Center assisted this event which was sponsored by Dopheide Ministries,Inc. The servers and the beautiful center piece roses were furnished by Living Hope Christian Center. It was a great and memorable event.
Backyard BBQ at the Dopheides

Christian Adults with a Purpose (CAP) hosted a great backyard BBQ at Pastor Rodney and Marian Dopheide’s residence. It was well attended with both regular CAP attendees as well as guests from Living Hope Christian Center. Lots of good food, which includes hamburger, pulled pork sandwiches and hotdogs plus dishes participants brought, such as salads and desserts. The weather was nice an warm close to 100 degrees but did not dampen the spirits of the people. Pastor Rodney brought a brief message and also biblical humor during the evnet. It was a great fellowship and lots of good food.
Workshop at Faith Assembly of God in Quincy, Illinois

We presented a workshop for Faith Assembly of God in Quincy, Illinois on Feb 28th, 2009. It was a great workshop with power point presentation with handouts. It was well attended and 5 churches were represented: 3 assemblies of God churches, a Baptist church and a community church. It dealt with setting up Active Mature Adults Senior ministry. Evaluation and surveys were conducted at the end of the workshop and it received an overall 8.5 rating on a scale of 1-10. Many are interested and Pastor Conour expressed interest in a follow-up later on in the year. One of the participant was inspired to pursue ministry in this area and another couple showed interest in being involved.
workshop for Salt and Spice of Living Hope Christian Center

We did a follow up workshop for Salt and Spice, senior ministry of Living Hope Christian Center in Sacramento, CA. It was well attended. We used power point as well as handouts. Pastor Rodney emphasized the importance of this ministry to the mature active adults of our churches and community. He also rendered encouragement and guidance in the area of active senior adults ministry.
Evaluation of the workshop shows very positive results, from a scale of 1 to 10 (one being lowest and ten highest) the average rating by participants was 9.6. Praise the Lord! Some of the comments are: “Excellent presentation with handouts” “...it is motiivating plus puts us back on track” ” This was very encouraging and helpful. Thank you very much” “Great!” “Very interesting and informative” ” There are some spelling mistakes pointed out and suggestions. We do appreciate the evaluation and enjoyed the workshop and the fellowship afterwards.May the Lord Jesus be glorified in all that we do and may He bless Salt and Spice, senior ministry of Living Hope Christian Center. Ministry to Almond Avenue Residence Club

We ministered to Almond Avenue Residence Club in Orangevale, CA. It is an assisted care facility. The program was well atteded and Pastor Rodney used ventriloquism to convey a powerful salvation message, using vent figure Grandpa D. We sang and used audience participation. Praise God for the opportunity to minister to the residents and some of their loved ones who were visiting.
